South America is a popular destination for young people, and WHV Uruguay – France has been signed!
The President of the French Republic visited Uruguay and an agreement between France and Uruguay was signed on this occasion. Official confirmation of the signing came from the Uruguayan authorities.
The President of Uruguay announced in an official press release: “To conclude this meeting, the two leaders signed a joint declaration, and in their presence, Foreign Minister Rodolfo Nin Novoa [le chef de la diplomatie uruguayenne] signed an agreement on the “working vacation” program which will enable young people from France and Uruguay to get to know the culture and way of life of both countries better.”
Uruguay is the twelfth country with which France has signed a Working Holiday Programagreement. However, applicants to WHV will have to wait for the agreement to come into force, and for the procedures to be published on the Uruguayan authorities’ website.
