Protection and confidentiality of personal data

Personal data concerning members (or concerning persons party to or interested in the contract) is processed in compliance with the French Data Protection Act of January 6, 1978, as amended, and with European Regulation no. 2016/679/EU of April 27, 2016, and with the standards issued by the CNIL.
They are processed for the purposes of entering into, managing and executing contracts and warranties, managing commercial and contractual relations, managing the risk of fraud or executing legal, regulatory or administrative provisions in force, in accordance with the purposes detailed below.
Rights of access, rectification, deletion and opposition
By providing proof of identity, the above-mentioned persons have the right to access, rectify, delete and object to their personal data free of charge by writing to the Security Department of our group DIXIAL, 19 Rue des Longs Prés, 92100 BOULOGNE – FRANCE, which owns the Mondassur and EuropUSA brands.
Conclusion, management and performance of contracts and commercial management of customers and prospects
Data concerning prospects and members (or concerning persons who are party to or interested in the contract) are necessary for the management of commercial and contractual relations.
This information is intended, within the limits of their responsibilities, for the advisor or usual contact, for the insurer’s departments responsible for commercial management or for the conclusion, management and execution of contracts for each of the guarantees and for its delegates, intermediaries, agents, service providers and subcontractors, or for other entities of the DIXIAL Group within the framework of the exercise of their missions.
It may also be passed on, where appropriate, to the insurance organizations of persons involved or offering complementary benefits, to co-insurers, reinsurers, professional organizations and guarantee funds, as well as to all persons involved in the contract, such as lawyers, experts, court and ministerial officers, curators, guardians, investigators, health professionals, medical advisors and authorized personnel, and to social organizations when they are involved in the settlement of claims and benefits, or when the insurer offers guarantees complementary to those of social security schemes.
Information concerning members may also be forwarded to all persons interested in the contract (contracting party, insured and beneficiary of the contract and their assigns and representatives, beneficiaries of an assignment or subrogation of rights relating to the contract and, where applicable, to managers and their agents, third parties interested in the performance of the contract), as well as to all persons entitled to act as Authorized Third Parties (courts, arbitrators, mediators, relevant ministries, supervisory and control authorities and all public bodies entitled to receive them, as well as to control departments such as statutory auditors, auditors and internal control departments).
Fighting insurance fraud
The member (or any other person who is a party to or interested in the contract) is also informed that a system is in place to combat insurance fraud, which may result in the registration of persons presenting a risk of fraud on a list, which may result in a longer examination of their file, or even the reduction or refusal of a right, benefit, contract or service offered by the Group’s entities and its insurance partners. In this context, personal data concerning members (or persons who are party to or interested in the contract) may be processed by all authorized persons working within the entities of the Dixial Group and its insurance partners in the context of the fight against fraud. This data may also be sent to authorized personnel of organizations directly involved in fraud (other insurance organizations or intermediaries; social or professional organizations; judicial authorities, mediators, arbitrators, court officers, ministerial officers; third-party organizations authorized by law and, where applicable, victims of fraud or their representatives).
Combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism
In order to meet its legal obligations, our insurers implement monitoring processes to combat money laundering and the financing of terrorism, and to apply financial sanctions.
Health data collection and processing
All insured persons expressly agree to the collection and processing of data concerning their health. Necessary for contract and guarantee management, this data is processed in compliance with medical confidentiality rules. It is intended exclusively for the use of the insurer’s or Dixial’s medical advisor in charge of managing benefits, its medical department or specifically authorized internal or external persons (in particular its delegates or medical experts). This information may also be used by authorized persons to combat fraud.
If the insured person uses the Vitale card, he/she authorizes the healthcare professional to send the insurer a statement of information to enable the contract benefits to be implemented. It also authorizes the exchange of information with its compulsory social protection scheme for the sole purpose of processing benefits.
Transfer of information outside the European Union
Personal data concerning the subscriber (or concerning persons party or interested in the contract) may be transferred to countries outside the European Union, of which the parties concerned are hereby informed and which they expressly authorize.
These transfers are carried out within the framework of the execution of the contract and relations with the insurer, compliance with legal or regulatory obligations, the management of actions or disputes enabling the insurer to ensure the establishment, exercise or defense of its legal rights, or for the needs of the defense of the persons concerned (subject to the exceptions set out in article 69 of the French Data Protection Act).
These transfers are carried out in accordance with legal requirements, European Commission and CNIL directives, and may, if necessary, be subject to specific legal frameworks by DIXIAL and its insurance partners to guarantee a sufficient level of personal data protection.
This information (which is strictly limited) is intended only for recipients who are likely to be involved in the purposes set out in the contract and described above.
Studies, Statistics
DIXIAL and its insurance partners (or their subcontractors) may also use and exploit personal data concerning the member (or concerning persons who are party to or interested in the contract) for statistical or research purposes, in particular with a view to developing their product and service offers, personalizing their relations with the persons in question, gaining a better understanding of the market and the competition, or for innovations.
These data may be associated, combined or include personal data concerning the member (or concerning persons party or interested in the contract) collected automatically or communicated by the interested parties themselves when browsing the website, using certain functionalities of the website or the mobile application. They may also be combined with statistical or aggregated data from various internal or external sources.
All personal data is processed in compliance with current regulations, in particular those relating to privacy and the protection of personal data.
Conditions of use of our online application, the Insured Area and our websites
Our online insurance quote and subscription application is designed to make insurance contracting easier. DIXIAL cannot be held responsible for any failure or malfunction of the application. Insurance contract guarantees are presented to help you select the best insurance contract. Details of cover are set out in the contract’s general terms and conditions, which remain the reference for the implementation of cover under each contract. The rates indicated in the quote results are subject to change without notice and are valid only when the quote is posted. You are deemed to have taken out an insurance contract when you receive the insurance certificate. DIXIAL cannot be held responsible if this certificate is not received. Please contact us as soon as possible if you do not receive a contract confirmation after paying for your insurance online.
The Insured area allows our policyholders to view details of the insurance policy taken out, current insurance premiums, current claims for insurance contracts managed directly by DIXIAL, and to file claims in the event of a loss.
We will do our best to ensure application availability. However, due to the nature of the Internet, this cannot be guaranteed. Your access to these applications may occasionally be suspended or limited to allow for repairs, maintenance, or the addition of a new feature or service. We will endeavor to limit the frequency and duration of such suspensions or limitations.
Our insurance policies can only be taken out directly online by adults over the age of 18. You are also obliged to inform us if you are a politically exposed person at the time of your subscription.
Use of Cookies
