1. Times Square, New York City

Times Square is the vibrant heart of New York City, and one of the most visited places in the USA. Events take place there regularly, so we recommend you visit the “What’s Happening in Times Square” page before your stay. Nevertheless, here are a few not-to-be-missed annual events:
– Love in Times Square in February. The Valentine Heart is installed in the square every year to celebrate the festival of lovers. Many weddings are organized on this occasion, as well as spontaneous engagement proposals and vow renewals.
– Taste of Times Square, early June. If you love food, this is the event for you. This festival combines music and cuisine. Here you can sample dishes from local restaurants as well as cuisine from around the world.
– Solstice in Times Square, the day of the summer solstice. Free yoga classes are held throughout the day. The aim is to bring together lovers of the sport and introduce it to the uninitiated.

2. Central Park, New York City

Discover Central Park Zoo, its obelisk and gazebo, and Shakespear’s Garden all year round. Events take place throughout the year, but here are the most recurrent:
– Shakespear in the park, in August. Fill up on culture and entertainment with these free outdoor theatrical productions.
– SummerStage, mid-September. For music fans, it’s the perfect time to enjoy free outdoor concerts. All genres are represented.
– TCS New York City Marathon, in November. This is the city’s annual marathon, running from Staten Island to Central Park.
– New York Road Runners Midnight Run, December 31. Based on the same model as the previous event, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a festive and sporty New Year’s Eve.

3. United States Capitol, Washington, D.C.

The Capitol is home to the U.S. Congress, the legislative branch that includes the Senate and the House of Representatives. Free 45-minute tours are available Monday to Saturday, 8.40am to 3.20pm. The Capitol information center is open on the same days from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tours can be booked on site or online via the Capitol website. It is also possible for visitors to attend Congress sessions when they are held. The Capitol Gardens are also well worth a stop.

4. Washington Monument, Washington D.C.

Nearly 170m high, the Washington Monument is an obelisk erected in 1885 in honor of George Washington, the first president of the United States.
At the time, it was the tallest monument in the world, before the Eiffel Tower overtook it in 1897.
It can be visited and, thanks to a renovation carried out in 2016, tourists can once again climb to its summit to admire the view of the capital. You can reserve your tickets online (not available for purchase on site). 1.5 per ticket.

5. Las Vegas Strip, Las Vegas

This is the main boulevard of Las Vegas. It is home to many of the world’s largest hotels and casinos. For lovers of excess, the M&M’s World store spans four floors and includes its own 3D cinema. On the same boulevard, you’ll find the Adventuredome, an indoor amusement park. For shopping enthusiasts, head for the Fashion Show Mall, a mall with fashion shows scheduled every weekend.

6. Grand Central Terminal, New York City

This New York train station, built in 1871, is worth a visit for its architecture. She has appeared in numerous American films. They include Superman (1978), Armageddon (1998), I Am Legend (2007), Avengers (2012) and The Passenger (2018). She also appeared in the first episode of the series Gossip Girl.

7. Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles

What could be more mythical than a stroll along the Los Angeles Walk of Fame? You can obtain a leaflet listing the 2,680 stars engraved in the ground. All the big stars have put their stamp on it!
You can also take a trip to Madame Tussauds, see the Chinese Theater – a historic Los Angeles landmark – or even do a little shopping at the Hollywood & Highland next door!

8. Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco

San Francisco’s most famous landmark, it was the world’s longest suspension bridge until 1964. It offers breathtaking views of San Francisco Bay, especially at sunrise and sunset. It’s free to cross on foot. Vehicle tolls of $6 barely cover the monument’s daily maintenance costs.

9. Faneuil Hall Marketplace, Boston

Established in 1742, this shopping center features a wide range of stores and restaurants, three historic markets and a promenade. It’s part of Boston National Historic Park and the Freedom Trail tourist route. In 2008, it was ranked the^4th most visited tourist site in the United States.

10. Balboa Park, San Diego

Balboa Park is a natural and cultural park. It is home to 17 museums covering history, technology and all types of art. You’ll also find the San Diego Zoo, playgrounds, fountains, promenades and plenty of entertainment for the whole family.
